Early Childhood Music Education (ECME) Program

Ages 0-4 Years

NCOM EARLY CHILDHOOD MUSIC EDUCATION

Dear Parents,

We are excited to announce that our Early Childhood Music Education programs will be starting up again in February. ECME programs will range from birth to 18 months, 18 months to 3 years of age, as well as for children 3 to 4 years of age.

Our beginner program (birth to 18 months of age) will explore sensory and auditory development along with rhythm, music and movement, and is coupled with caregiver interaction, to enhance sensory development that forms rapidly at this stage of development.

Our intermediate program (18 months to 3 years of age) offers the student the opportunity to learn from advanced sensory stimulation, introduction to percussion instruments, all of which have been specially produced for young children. Some include shakers, rhythm sticks, jingle hammers, and bongo drums just to name a few. This is an interactive class for the student and their caregiver. The play and learn environment encourages discovery, participation, development of fine and gross motor skills through music and movement.

Our advanced program (3 to 4 years of age) offers the student independent and group exploration of instruments, self regulation, socialization through peer interaction, as well as auditory development through tonality, story telling as well as an introduction to familiar children’s songs. This utilizes a strong nurturing of social and emotional self regulation, and encourages group participation along with interaction with peers to encourage strong communication skills. In addition, this program offers the student an opportunity to develop their fine and gross motor skills simultaneously that will enable a smooth transition into the music school system as well as the general school curriculum.

Classes will be held for 45 minutes each week, for a total of 8 classes. The program fee will be $120.00 per child (no taxes). Please indicate whether you plan on signing up for a weekday or weekend class. All programs will begin as indicated:
